Hiking
The perfect setting for hiking happiness: our stunning Nock Mountains. Biking
Carinthia is not only perfect for hiking, but also for biking. The mild climate is made for extended tours on two wheels from early summer. Passionate mountain bikers have 355 kilometres of trails in the gently hilly summit world of the Nock Mountains to explore, while cyclists will find a true paradise on 1,000 kilometres of routes between valleys and lakes. And even leisurely bikers get their money’s worth: 571 routes and numerous traditional Alpine huts await them with tasty specialities from the region.
Swimming
Want to know a secret? Due to its wonderful location, Feld am See has not just one, but two fantastic bathing lakes with drinking water quality waiting for you in the immediate vicinity! From our hotel you can reach picturesque Lake Brennsee in just a few minutes on foot. Just as beautiful is nearby Lake Afritzer See, which you’ll reach in 5 minutes by car. By the way: Carinthia’s bathing lakes are among the warmest in the Austrian mountains!
Water sports
Surfing, sailing, stand-up paddling, kayaking – what have you always wanted to try? Or what have you always been passionate about? Feld am See is the perfect base camp for all water sports enthusiasts thanks to its proximity to Lake Brennsee and Lake Afritzer See. Ready to ride the wave of holiday fun?
Tennis
Our adventure land is a paradise for tennis players, and Feld am See also delights with the highest density of tennis courts in all of Carinthia. Amazing, right? On 14 sand courts, two all-weather courts, and one children’s tennis court, nothing stands in the way of your next tennis match!
Other sports and activities
Feld am See delights big and small active fans with its incredible variety. During archery, you can focus entirely on your target and forget about everyday life in the blink of an eye. Passionate fishermen get their money’s worth while fishing in the two lakes (fishing permit required), and families can try fishing in the pond of the “Kärnten Fisch” fish farm. Golf lovers can look forward to tee-offs with magnificent mountain and lake views at the two golf clubs Bad Kleinkirchheim and Millstätter See.
